Sohan Halwa is a famous sweet dish in Pakistani cuisine, and it’s a souvenir of Multan, the southeast city of Punjab province. Multani Sohan halwa is prepared by boiling a mixture of milk, sugar, water, and cornflour. Along with that, other ingredients such as almond and saffron are used for flavouring. This is a perfect sweet dish of Pakistan. It was mid-winter of 2019 when Rose visited Multan and had a chance to taste Multani Sohan halwa. Roti:

Rotti is also called chapati in some regions of Pakistan. Although roti is a compulsory part of daily meals in Pakistan, especially in Punjab and some parts of KPK, no food is complete without Rotti (Tortilla). Rotti is a special kind of bread made with different types of flour, but wheat flour is the most common flour used for making roti. When Rose drove her bike to the northern areas of Pakistan, she had experienced Pakistani chapati from a local ‘tandoor’. Rather than its taste Rose liked most how Rotti cooked. However, roti makes Rose say that she loves Pakistani food.

Most probably, masalas dar chaat is basically ‘Channa Chaat‘, and it’s made with Chickpea, Onions, Green Chillies, Tomatoes, Coriander, and a mixture of chaat masala. When Rose visited Lahore, she tasted channa chaat or masala dar chaat from a local food street. A chaat seller invited her, and he offered her chaat free of cost. Pakistan has various varieties and rich tastes in BBQ cuisine. Beef Tikka Botti or Beef Tikka is one of the famous and tasty BBQ dishes of Pakistani street foods. Its name shows that it is made with the meat of beef. Beef tikka is mainly prepared on preheated coal and in local streets. However, this tikka Botti is originated from the Mughal empires and, to some extent, from Turkish cuisines. Beef tikka is rich in taste and has a unique flavour to other BBQ dishes.

During her visit, Rose spent some time in the northern valleys of Pakistan. Pashtuns or KPK cuisines are famous for their BBQ dishes like Chapple Kabab, Tikka Botti, and others. But Rose had shared its experience only with Beef Tikka Botti on her YouTube Channel. She loved beef tikka very much and felt blessed to have it. She says that beef tikka Botti has very juicy and yummy meat pieces, and this is one of the best beef dishes that she has ever eaten.

Chicken Korma is a traditional and flavouring chicken recipe in Pakistani and Indian cuisine. This dish is also one of those famous dishes I have mentioned in my food blogs like Chicken Karahi and Chicken Biryani. It’s a south Asian dish that has its origin in Mughal Era. In Pakistani and Indian cuisine, the chicken piece is a cook in oil, then spices, and the addition of yoghurt and onions produce a tasty and rich gravy. Rose was in Pakistan when she tasted chicken korma for the first time. And, of course, she falls in love with chicken korma, especially with its thick and yummy gravy.
