Make Perfect Lachha Paratha Recipe

Make Perfect Lachha Paratha Recipe

Lachha Paratha, also known as Laccha Paratha or simply Paratha, is a delectable type of Tortilla that is traditionally cooked with an oil coating on both sides, on a griddle. This flaky and layered bread has gained immense popularity for its unique texture and mouthwatering taste. Paratha, in general, comes in various types, each offering a distinct experience with its filling ingredients. You’ll find delightful variations like Alo Wala Paratha, Keemay Wala Paratha, and the classic plain Paratha, which is mostly cooked without any inner fillings. The diversity of Parathas extends beyond their fillings, encompassing different styles distinguished by their color and shape. Some notable examples include the tempting Cut Lacha Paratha, the square-shaped Chakor Wala Paratha, the intricately folded Pankha Fold Lacha Paratha, and the rolled and round Gol Paratha.

While Parathas can be relished in numerous ways, their inseparable companion is traditional chai (tea). This enchanting combination has become a staple and the most beloved meal in Pakistani cuisine. Starting the day with a plate of warm Chai Paratha is a cherished tradition in every household across Pakistan. The aromatic flavors of the tea perfectly complement the flaky layers of the Paratha, resulting in a satisfying breakfast experience.

Interestingly, even foreign YouTube vloggers, like Jay Palfrey, have developed a deep appreciation for Chai Paratha during their visits to Pakistan. This delightful culinary delight has captured the taste buds of people from different cultures, showcasing the universal appeal of Pakistani cuisine.

Lachha Paratha Taste:

Paratha with achar

Paratha taste varies from its ingredients to its style of making. I have mentioned in the induction that parathas have so many kinds according to their fillings and way of making. Such as Alo Wala paratha has its own unique flavour and Kemmay Wala has theirs. Traditional paratha taste is very famous and yummy. Its crispy look and juice taste attracts everyone.

My Story with Paratha:

Pakistani Paratha

It would not be possible for me to conclude my memories with Paratha in one go. From my childhood until now I have memories of parathas. Not only in our house but all households in this region have made parathas in their breakfast. This would not be wrong if I say that 70% of households in Pakistan take paratha chai as their breakfast. However, the paratha which I like the most is Alo Wala paratha with yoghurt. My mother has a special delicacy in Alo Wala paratha, especially with a side coating of desi ghee. Its juicy flavour and spicy taste are really unforgettable for me.
